An option would be to add your reports to the media library. You can retrieve them from there using the http.plugin:

Hello,

I have a situation where I have very limited access to the directory structure of the server. Servoy is hosted by a host company.

When I change my solution I can make a servoy solution file and import this within the application server. But how about my reports? These reports are not in the Servoy file.

I already asked to provide a possibility in the Application Server to make it possible to upload reports like we can upload beans and plugins.

But I would also like to have a possibility to deploy my reports with my solution. So the best way would probably a possibility that the reports are in the Servoy solution file. Is that possible?

And maybe you have some other solution for that. Please let me know.

Another problem is that my reports are prefixed with a prefix that determines the solution. It would be great if in case of deployment only the reports are in the solutionfile that belongs to that solution (and the included modules). Any suggestions to this situation are welcome as well.

I think that the best option is to put all the functionality that is used in both A and B in a third solution, C, and add that as a module to A and B.

Hi All,

I am using audio plugin for voice recording. It is working good in Developer but not working in smart client. It is not recording voice in smart client and not playing recorded voice.

Any who help me out for this problem..?

Because the two solution are yes related but are very big and I prefer maintain distincts. Otherwise I can import B as a A module but I don't know how many overhead this can cause.

It depends, why exactly do you want to open solutionB and not just handle everything in solutionA? (or add solutionB as a module to A and just run the method)

To open a solution you can use

application.showURL("http://<server_ip>:<port>/servoy-client/servoy_client/<solutionB_name>.jnlp?method=<method_name>&argument=<arg>");

After that, you can close solution A using application.closeSolution() if you want

I want to click a button in the solution A and open the solution B calling the B method globals.B_method with parameters.

I read the documentation of application.closeSolution but the method seem running from the solution A. However if I try to use it so, it seems not work.

From your description, it sounds like it might be best (easiest?) to provide a Web-client solution on the warehouse Servoy server that they login to from the other location and select items to release.

Greg you are asking all the right questions,

Yes it is a 2-way sync.
One company is a warehouse facility and the other company owns the product.
The product once manufactured is delivered to the warehouse. Each product (piece) is serialized. (2 pieces per truck, large product)
The product is released by the owner and shipped to their customer directly.

The owner wants their own Servoy Server for other solutions and at the same time wants to automate their selection for shipping (no faxes)
At present time there about 10,000 records the inventory table, 75% shipped, 25% ready to ship.
I hope this is not too long, but I want to start off in the right direction. I could share an Inventory table but as you pointed out a loose connection is better.
I am not absolutely sure on how to sync a 10,000 record table and keep all of the relations intact.
