Servoy 3.5.11 / Servoy 3.5.12

Postby Jan Blok » Tue Apr 13, 2010 5:01 pm

Update: Servoy 3.5.12 fixes the annoying "developer only" issue mentioned below, and comes with the plugins jnlp files change as mentioned here, since webstart sometimes failed to notice a server resource change.
---------------
We announce the immediate availability of Servoy 3.5.11
This version is released as workaround to the unexpected webstart security level change in Java 6 update 19 (which led to unusable security dialogs due to bugs in Java 6 update 19 itself)
When installing this version all non Servoy beans and plugins have to be signed by there vendor!
Plugin/beans developer should have a look here

Make a backup of your current Servoy installation (directory and database) before installing. :!:

This version is available through the download page on the Servoy website (developer section) and auto update. (check via help menu -> check for new version)

It seems that application.getMethodTriggerFormName() always returns null in a form method now

I found the bug and fixed it. It is a developer only bug so your smart or webclients on an application server dont have this problem

We are using the it2becalendarbean, but the first message we've got is:
> Unsigned resource: http://localhost:8080/beans/DndDBTreeView.jar
I think we are going to switch back to 3.5.10 for the time being.

... and that is part of the Table bean, so one of our components. Please excuse the inconvenience in this whole matter. I think it came as a surprise to everyone.

We are aware that this is a very annoying situation. We will provide an updated installer of all of our components tomorrow. Please try that before upgrading in a productive environment, but it does look like it heals the problem.

For those of you using plugins from us (servoy-plugins.de), we have now signed all of our components with a self-signed certificate. You can download an updated installer from our website.

We have bought a real certificate, but that has not yet been issued. In a few days we hope to provide another update with the real certificate that will not present a dialog to the user (for our components at least).

I know, Servoy 5.2 is allready released for a loooong time, but some customers still running Servoy 3.5.12.
Even better (or worse), some customers run Servoy 3.5.12 clients on MAC   .
There is a very irritating issue in 3.5.12 with Mac clients: when branding=true, the shortcut won't show.
Any help would be appreciated.
