Hi everyone!

We have a diverse program coming up with some very interesting talks.
Here is the list we have so far (also titles might change):

- Crash course in Design Thinking.
- Migrating to NGClient
- Edge cases with NG Client
- Building a client from scratch using this NG Framework
- Security! Security! Security! (and privacy) by design
- Electron as a (possible) replacement for Smartclient?
- How we use Git, Sourcetree and Jira to streamline and improve our development process
- Intergrations between Servoy and third-party systems
- Deployment pipeline with Jenkins - from Git to Servoy Server
- Servoy Platform as a Service

And of course like every year we have the Get Help sessions where you can ask help from the community so bring your solutions!

What will be new this year are the Lightning Talks.
These are short talks (max. 10 minutes) where you can show off your solution, module, use-case, technique or perhaps some Free Open Source Software you want to promote.
You can use slides, video, do a demo or just do it all without. It's up to you.
We already have a couple but we like to get more so if you want to show off something please contact us at [email protected].

If you have ANY questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Session Files - Migrate WC to NG

Postby bcusick » Thu May 24, 2018 3:16 pm

Here's a link to my Google Drive - with all the files that I used in my session "Migrating from Web Client to Web Client - The Good, Bad and the Ugly".

It includes my slides, the solution flies (.war) and the logo I used in the demo.

Hope this helps!

During my 10 minute talk in the lightning talk session I explained how to 'sign' the bootstrap jnlp, to make Java even more happy to launch your application.
Actually you don't sign the jnlp itself but write a template version of your jnlp file into the bootstrap.jar, then re-sign the jar.

Pretty much anything is explained on the Servoy wiki

I think 2 things are not explained:
• Using bootstrap will completely bypass any client startup setting of the admin page
• You can name the jar/jnlp to anything you like, ie. launch.jar/launch.jnlp. If you do that, don't forget to change the 'bootstrap.jar' reference in the jnlp file to 'launch.jar'. Obvious but easily overlooked.

In case of any questions you can always contact me.
Drop me an email or via PM on this forum.

Happy bootstrapping!

Many thanks to Harjo and Robert for putting on another tremendous Servoy Camp.

Accommodation and food was good, other Devs were 'entertaining', and sessions really useful - I even understood some of them!

Looking forward to the next one :D

Here are my slides of talk "Security! (Security!, Security!)" (title inspired by Steve Balmer ;) )
I had to reduce the size of the file a bit (was almost 10MB) so some images might be a bit pixelated, sorry about that.

Hi, it was a hands-on session, so I have to make a step by step manual.
Didn't found the time yet todo that.

Will do that, as soon as possible..
