I tried the Servoy Server on Mac OS X Server 10.4.11 and WinXP, both with the newest Java Release. The shared log info is from a connection to the win server.
Now I will try again the server - client connection between the macs, after having cleared the ‘Catalina’-folder and report whats up.
We have a Mac OS X Server 10.4.11 Dual G5 as Servoy server with Java version 1.5.0_13. My client machine is a Intel MacBook Pro.
Servoy Server is:
Servoy version 3.5.3-build 516, repository version 31
Current time: Mon Dec 31 14:18:49 CET 2007
Hope this helps, regards, Robert

Hi Robert,
Robert Huber:
we are using the latest Servoy version as below under Mac OS X 10.4.11 and don’t have problems to start the Client.
Servoy Client
Version 3.5.3-build 516
Java version 1.5.0_13-121 (Mac OS X)
what kind of Servoy Server do you have? We are using the same Software- and Systemversion as you, but while starting the Servoy Client we get always a Certificat message dialog and the connection to the server fails.
thank you for your replay so quickly.
I’m sorry, but it doesn’t help. The difference between your system and ours is that we have an Intel MacPro with Mac OS X Server 10.4.11 and Intel iMacs with OS X 10.4.11.
Servoy version 3.5.3-build 516, repository version 31
Java.vm.version=1.5.0_13-121
I am much in trouble, because in two days I have an customer installation on ppc and Intel Macs…

To make it a little more bearable for you, the fact that it does not work with your current setup does not say anything about your client.
If I were you I would test further, tell your client that there might be an issue and just go ahead installing…
So the difference is that you have an Intel based Server, and therefor the clients do not start any more. It can’t be the client machines, as we use Intel based MacBook and MacBook Pro and a G5 Dual (PPC) as client machines, all work very well with 3.5.3.
Hmm, may be Servoy has an answer to that strange behaviour.
Regards, Robert

I tried an other combination with win pc as Servoy Server and a PPC iMac as Client. This works well. Next I will try the Intel Mac as Servoy Server and the PPC iMac shall be the Client. I think this will work too (hopefully). Finally may be the Intel iMacs are the problem…
In Client networks we had some Macs they also wouldn’t launch the Servoy solution from the Server. I checked the network settings on this machines and found an active http-proxy configuration. After deactivating the http-proxy, respectively adding the Servoy servers IP the client launches and the solution opens correct. Same case on my iMac. I forgot the http-proxy settings…!
