[ANNOUNCE] PostgreSQL Studio 1.0

Picked this one up today from various media:

OpenSCG is pleased to announce the release of PostgreSQL Studio 1.0. PostgreSQL Studio is an open-source, web-based GUI for PostgreSQL. It allows users to manage and query their database from a browser.
Version 1.0 of PostgreSQL Studio is distributed under the PostgreSQL License. Some of its key features include:

  • Easy to use AJAX web interface
  • Secure access over HTTPS
  • Robust object wizards
  • Query editor with syntax highlighting
  • Cross platform and easy to install

You can find more information about PostgreSQL Studio at http://www.postgresqlstudio.org

For both developer/deployed situation:
Install is very easy, just download the zip package, unzip and place the war-file in the folder /application_server/server/webapps
After starting developer / the application server, open your browser goto: servoy-url:port/pgstudio

Uninstall is as easy as the above: just remove both the war file and the folder created by tomcat.

There’s no reason that Java UIs need to be so ugly; they just somehow are. Like the language is a viral crèche for cruddy visual design.

Wait  , did David just offer to support this Free Open Source Software project and help them with a better GUI? :D

;)

If you’re using GWT, are you really expecting any help? :) Kind of like releasing an open source COBOL app…

I have seen uglier software, than this…
Looking cool! will try it.
