If, in my form, I need to have every field with its element name, I would like to set a preference that sets the element name to dataprovider name while creating it.
I will save a lot of time.

Hum, maybe I’m misunderstanding but isn’t this what you do when placing fields on a form through the add field dialog. There is a checkbox for filling out the element name ?

would really like it, on the Add Field dialog, the setText and SetName checkboxes would default to Checked, or even better: Have some setting somewhere to set their default.

Servoy “remembers” the state of the checkboxes. So, if you set them once - they will stay the same during that whole session.

ok, but couldn’t they go to checked by default? ![:D]( "Very Happy")

I know, I’m lazy ![]( "Rolling Eyes")

but i think that more often you would want Servoy to automatically fill the name and text than not.
