# Beta of IT2BE DataStream Plug-in for Servoy 4.0 released

We are happy to announce the release of the new beta version of our DataStream Plug-in for Servoy 4.0 today.

The DataStream Plug-in enables you to **stream large(r) files** from and to a client and server file system or a database (record). One of the advantages is that streaming can happen in the **background** and/or by showing a **progress dialog** in the foreground.

For this release we concentrated on reliability and cleaning up the code. We reduced the number of jar files (3 instead of 12) and saved 500 kb.
