# calculation editing

as i add more calculations to the application i’m developing,  
i realize how time-consuming the process of editing calculations  
is.

i have to:  
go back to design mode  
open dataproviders  
select calculations  
double click on the calculation i want to edit  
make the changes  
click verify  
click close  
click ok in the dataproviders dialog  
then (finally) switch back to data mode to test the calc.

that’s a helluva lot of steps!

could we just edit calculations in the method editor? without  
having to switch back to design mode?

we have some planning for reordering the user interface for this. But that won’t happen very shortly.
