I just updated Servoy 4.0.1 to beta1, now I can’t open any methods in script editor. It opens a tab called “DLTK Javascript Editor” with nothing in it. If I try to close the tab, I can’t. I tried to do this also in other perspectives, but it won’t work. The only way to have the tabs closed is to quit Servoy. Does anybody have the same problem? ---

i have no idea what that goes wrong with you, we never encountered that. do you have anything in the servoy\_log.txt (developer dir) or .log in the workspace/.metadata dir? Also does this happen for all script files? including a simple new solution? ---

Thank you Johan, nothing is wrong with me. and yes it happens with all script. I have crated a new solution, and I can’t write any scripts because as soon as I specify the script name and click OK I see this. and all other editors are working fine? this has to be a result of an error or exception, what do you logs say? servoy\_log.txt (developer dir) .log.txt (workspace/.metadata dir) ---

Ok, just to be sure I’ve thrown everything away (including workspace), I reinstalled Servoy 4.0.1, I opened the solution and several scripts everything OK. I ran the update… and guess what… the problem is here again. I’ve tested it also on another mac… same problem. All other editors are working fine. This is the servoy\_log.txt in the application\_server dir., in the other dir. there is no log. in the .metadata there should be .log (so also with a .) that is standaard eclipse and i never that there isnt one. But i guess in that file there should be something or in your standard console view of your mac the error in the servoy\_log is not related ---

So, what you say is that there is no issue before the update (in other words when you perform an ‘out of the box’ install) and after an update you have the issue? What OS X and Java are you running? Anything specific about your install (eclipse plugins like svn)? The reason I ask, I have been working with beta versions of 4.0 and the one thing that NEVER created any issue was… The method editor… ---

Hi Marcel, is exactly what I say, no special plugins, no special things. I run Java 1.5.0\_16 on Mac OS X 10.5.5. I have the same problem on 2 different machines, one MacBook and a brand new MacMini. I don’t have a clue of what I do wrong, I didn’t nothing more than click on an installer.
