Can you define: “Does not like?”
I have had issues here to get it to run here.

Harjo:
it sounds more, that you don’t like it!right?
Not ‘more’.
Supporting changes made to our jars with signatures already cost me a couple of hours on top of the signing itself.
I think it’s important to look at the users/customer point of view.
This is where we all (Servoy, servoy plugin developers, servoy developers) get our money from.
Without users/customers there won’t be any product.
Thanks to the latest java release we all need to have every single jar signed.
As many Servoy developers use more than just one 3rd party plugin, this means every customer has to go through as many dialogs as there are signatures.
Let me predict: this will hold some valuable customers from continue using a servoy-based product.
Double signing doesn’t seems to be an issue for ‘up-to-date’ java users.
So I agree with Harjo: if there’s no real technical problem, please let re-signing not be an issue (at least double signing).

Guys, read carefully. This is what I said: ‘I have had issues here to get it to run here.’.
I don’t withhold you from doing it I just warn you about possible issues and the fact that I have experienced issues supporting these changes. Nothing more, nothing less…

Marcel, can you tell more about these issues, what to expect (or not), etc.
As you can see there’ are a lot of people very happy with the ‘re-sign’ option. (not to forget the end-user)
The only other option we have (which is killing for deployment) is:
This will end up having a deployment with only 2 dialogs on initial startup.
A simple dialog complaining about a wrong signature and, as said, currently only for the aspose libs when the original signature was removed.
I have no additional information but when you don’t have the issue just go ahead but know that this happened.
Concerning double signing, until now I have had clients complaining about signature issues but have no feedback on my question if they double signed or re-signed.

Glad it worked!Since some people(!) ask for an all-in-one tool, I have modified Johan’s signtester.jar: when you use it with the ‘overwrite’ parameter, it will first unsign the jars… (Sources are included)
You can ownload it from the Servoy-Stuff site.
nice, i vote that patrick is the great maintainer now for this code. everybody agree?

Easy now!
Next thing will be with Servoy 5.2 open sources that I will also be the maintainer, is that it?
One if many maintainers I hope!
