Does a client need to have Java installed to use a Servoy solution with the web client?

Nope, you only need a modern web browser (IE6+, FireFox, Safari, etc) no extra plugins and nothing else, it’s 100% pure HTML.
The browser is only a sort of “terminal”, the client session runs server side.
