Double characters with typeahead in WC

I see double characters - for example, when I type abc I see AaBbCc in the field.

It happens under in these conditions

the field is a text field with a value list
it’s set as type ahead
All Uppercase is selected in Format property.

It happens in Mac Safari, haven’t tried other browsers/platforms.
Not a problem in Smart Client

Is it a bug, or do I just need new glasses?
