File dialog in Servoy Developer with JRE 1.6 update 26

When you install Servoy in combination with the Java Runtime Environment 1.6 update 26, you might notice that the file open dialog will not appear in the Developer.

This is a bug in this version of the JRE and has been reported (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=349387 and http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bu … id=7056092).

I recommend to use an older version of the JRE until this problem has been resolved.

This is only in Developer ? Or also in client ? I.e. should we warn our customers to not upgrade to this java version?

Yes, this is only happening in the Developer.

This is a Java bug!!

Eh, yes ?
Wasn’t that what Vincent said ?

All I asked if it also affected the rich client (running from Server, not Developer).

ah, sorry, had a few drinks last night… still not awake… ;-)

This is only happening to me in server not developer…!

in server?? you mean Servoy-client?

We see it only on Windows 7 Pro, with the latest Java 1.6_26 and only in Eclipse itself, Even debug-client works fine here

Jackie Chan is going to make a movie about your life called, “Drunken Programmer”

When you guys get sober… :)
Could you please clarify if this happens only in developer or also in smart client when running from servoy server 5.2?
I’d like to warn my users not to upgrade if needed…

Are you sure you are not also sipping on the good stuff ? ;)

See post 2 and 3 of this thread.

Anyone knows if this is solved? I need to upload some medias and I can´t !!!

Thanks

Hi Juan,

This is something that Oracle broke and need to fix so the real question is is there a JRE 1.6 update 27 yet.
And I think the answer to that question (at this time) is no.

The only solution for your problem right now is to downgrade to JRE 1.6 update 25.

Yep, can confirm, I also rolled back to java 1.6_25 and all is fine again.
