# Inserting records without stored procedures

I would like to insert a dataset into a table. I am useing mysql 4.0.18 and thus can not use stored procedures. I would appreciate any tips.

Hi Chad,

Just make a form based on a table and then use:

controller.newRecord()

Easy! ![:D]( "Very Happy")
