Jasper / applying style

I defined a few styles using font and font size. When I select one or more elements (fields or column headers) and enter the style name, the elements don’t appear to change. How are the styles applied?

Thank you,
Don

To apply a style to an element, select the element, and set the desired style in the property sheet. You can set a default style for the report, then all elements having unspecified properties will inherit their value from the default style.

If styles are not being set for multiple-selected elements, it’s most likely a bug and should be reported.

I hope this helps.

Hi Ken,

I think that I got the style to apply now. It’s a little hard to tell, since the printed form looks like the default “SansSerif” font, even though the view in the design environment appears to be the Arial Narrow that I want.

I’m having quite a time with iReports – really basic things like shift-click or control-click to select/deselect, and copy/paste just don’t seem to work as expected. Sometimes highlighting items appears to work differently in two consecutive trials. Is this a common experience with the program?

Thank you,
Don
