Jasper: which version of iReport?

Hi,

which version of iReport are we suggested to use to design the reports for Jasper?
I just installed 3.1.4, but I cannot find a lot of functionalities anymore (the internazionalization section, fon instance).
My guide (The Definitive Guide) and the class I attended to were focused on version 2, but now seems to be quite obsolete.

Any advice?

I think iReport 3 is recommended (at least we are using that one)
