I.T. at my client’s office says they had a major issue using Servoy with Java 6 25 this morning. Looking for more details, but since they just announced that 25 “breaks Servoy” I am looking here to find out if anyone is having difficulties. Will take me some time to get details.

They say it was Windows 7 (for which we have very few machines), so I just spent a few hours getting a VMWare instance of Win7 up here with Servoy and Java 6 25. No problem launching smart client – so probably false alarm.
Now will get my solution (with various plugins) and see if one of them errored out. I.T. said Servoy wouldn’t load, and generated an error log on the desktop but they don’t have a copy of that log.

Maybe unrelated, but I had problems with updating to Java 6 25 today on 2 different Win 7 machines.
It was something with the Java auto-updater which caused an install error (‘There is a problem with this Windows Installer package’ ). Uninstalled Java and reinstalled from fresh download. Since I had this same problem on 2 different machines maybe there is a problem with this update through the Java auto-updater?!
