In the interim, until the developers can put in a magnification routine into designer mode, on Windows there are a combination of tools that I use.
The first is already in Windows. Select
Start > Run > type in “magnify” (no quotes")
This will allow you to see your form at whatever percentage you want. And you can control the size of the zoomed window.
The other tool I use, for selecting colors, also has a magnification tool in it. It’is called Pixie. (Funny thing is there is also a Pixie on Macintosh too - it’s part of the developer tools for OS X). But on Windows you can find the app here.
