Odd problem

I just encountered Servoy a few days ago, downloaded the trial version, and am ready to play with it.

However, I’m dead in the water because the pdf at

http://downloads.servoy.com/downloads/S … rGuide.pdf

gives me a corrupted file. I’ve tried multiple downloads on multiple platforms, with multiple readers (some non-Adobe); all have produced the same result.

Is this file available anywhere else?

(My email isn’t able to accept this pdf because of size limitations.)

First, welcome to Servoy!

I just tried downloading the file and it worked perfectly for me. I am running Windows XP. Despite the name shown in the link the file downloaded as a .zip file. When I unzipped the file it was almost the same size. I will leave the unzipped version on my server for a couple of hours so you can try downloading it there at:

What version of Acrobat Reader are you using? Based on the warning message that appeared when I opened the file I suspect that it was created with a recent version of Acrobat. I suppose there might be a backward compatibility issue if you are using an older version of Acrobat Reader.

Thanks a bunch. The file is local & readable.

Readers tried: 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.0.7, plus Preview & various Acrobat readers on a Mac.

First, we did discover and fix a corruption issue with this file.
ServoyServerGuide.pdf has been replaced and you should no longer
encounter any downloading or readability issues related to the
corrupted file.

Second, the Servoy Server Administrator’s Guide PDF file - as well as
any of the other downloadable documentation PDF files - can be
downloaded from the Servoy Developers Website:

  • Open the Servoy Website.
  • Select the “Developers” tab.
  • Go to Documentation > Servoy PDF Documentation.
  • Click the download link for the desired Servoy Documentation PDF file.

You can also purchase all Servoy Documentation in printed
perfect bound book format from the Servoy Store.
