Servoy 3.5.3
Mac Pro
Mac OSX 10.5.1
If I go to
the Print Dialog
in
Print Preview
(with either “use System Print” selected or not)
Afterwards everything in Servoy becomes very slow.
Just bringing up the print dialog
box will cause the problem. I don’t even need to print
to cause the problem.
I checked the Activity Monitor Utilitiy
and the CPU goes to 100% on every
feature of Servoy after the print dialog appears.
I get the beachball on the menus.
Every feature takes 3 or 4 seconds to appear / work.
Any ideas?
It does this in any solution.
So I have to restart Servoy everytime I’ve printed something.
It never did this in 3.1 with 10.4
I’ve checked on OSX 10.4
and the printing works fine
with 3.5.3
So it must just be the 10.5
on my Mac Pro
Does anyone else have this problem?
I’ll try a different 10.5 Mac later today

Fixed it.
Changing the
Look and Feel
to
Metal
makes Servoy run at full
speed after the print dialog
appears.
I thought the default / metal problem
was already fixed?
Anyway I can get it to work with Default Look and Feel?
Metal doesn’t look so good.
We hope that with the upcoming 10.5.2 Apple will finally fix the issues with Java on 10.5
Could there be any problems with constantly changing the Look and Feel?

If you don’t restart Servoy after a LAF change there can be problems yes. If you restart it should be fine however.
Fixed by Servoy 3.5.4
thanks!
