Did anyone get anywhere with a serial / parallel port plugin?
I have put quite some time into this, together with a potential client.
There are free Java libs which did not give me much joy (certainly when cross platform is needed).
There are also commercial libraries.
Disadvantage there is not only the multitude of files needed for deployment but also the fact that they can become quite expensive because the license scheme is not too friendly.
So, a long answer for the short… No
