# Servoy Releases 'Wiki' with Download Links

Hi,
further to my other post, might it be possible (& certainly useful for me ![;-)]( "Wink") ) to create a Sticky Topic that lists each Servoy (Release, not Beta) Version along with it’s Release Number and then have Links for each platform to the download of it.
I would guess that there are other developers that some times have to recreate, or redeploy, an old solution, but have lost/not kept the installer and need to go back to it.
I have managed in the past to sometimes work out the correct link as the ‘Announcements’ Topic has listed a release number and I have created a download URL from that
e.g. to download Servoy 5.2.18, the release number is 1031, so the URL I tried was
[https://download.servoy.com/downloads/5xx\_product/servoy\_installer.1031.jar](https://download.servoy.com/downloads/5xx_product/servoy_installer.1031.jar)
or for Servoy 8.1.4
[http://download.servoy.com/downloads/80x\_product/servoy\_installer.3035.jar](http://download.servoy.com/downloads/80x_product/servoy_installer.3035.jar)
but I’m not always sure of the 5xx\_product or 80x\_product bit, and release prior to 5.2.15 do not have the release number listed, so difficult to reverse engineer…
Might this be possible??

I am surprised actually that Servoy still offers the Servoy 5 link on their download page. Does this mean version 5 is still officially supported?

No that is not really supported anymore, we should remove it.

no we don’t really want to do that. Because people need to move on and old releases could have security issues in them
If you want a older release, just contact support/sales.

That’s a shame.
I’m sure that for those of us that need this, we would be prepared to ‘check’ a box to agree that we understand there may be security issues or whatever (some kind of disclaimer), but I think this would be really useful & helpful ![:D]( "Very Happy")

Hi Rafi,
The only sure way to keep access to older versions it to collect all the releases yourself when they come out.
Obviously you can’t distribute them, but at least you have your private collection when you need them.
Same logic applies to Java installers…

That’s a great idea, and I have tried to do that for my solutions, but what about if you are taking over someone else’s solution, or you have for the wrong platform?

Servoy solutions are platform agnostic.
The Servoy installers are for all 3 platforms. The Java installers are indeed per platform, so collect them all ![;)]( "Wink")

Yes, but they did have ‘exe’ installers for Windows & JARs for Mac/Linux. I wasn’t sure using the JAR on Windows was always effective…
