Is there not a changelog facility? By this I mean that as changes are made to a solution that notes can be made in a changelog and when a release is made an entry is also (automatically) made.
Any chance?
Thanks,
Neale.

changes to the solution are made constantly (if you switch from design to browse and you changed a little small thing) so there would be many many entries for this. So at what place would you have an entry made? How do you want to edit that entry and how to view them??
We could give you a edit field when you make a new release of a solution that you can write some comments for the release..
If I may pick up on this one. Johan, I like your suggestion of an editfield.
Why: I show a splash at startup (with my splash plugin) and with that I show version info, copyright etc. Wouldn’t it be nice if this would be updated from such a field (or more: version, copyright, date)…

I was thinking only of manually initiated entries for this kind of thing. Say “debugged method foo.bar”

Something like that, but with the ability to put in comments along the way. E.g. I make some changes today, write a comment, come back tomorrow test yesterday’s changes, make another change + comment then make a new release (which makes its own entry).
That make sense?

Ok so you just want a menu entry somewhere where you can add a comment to the solution (that gets a timestamp attached)
And a menu where you can see the history of the comments of that solution.
will add this to the feature list.
That’s the general idea.
It’d probably be useful to have it also accessible from the File->Repository… dialogue too (as distinct from in the open solution).

Neale.
