CSS has a font weight.
However, when I tried setting the font weigh of a style class to a specific value, (600 for example) it doesn’t work. In fact it seemed like only ‘normal’ and ‘bold’ font weights were available.
Am I missing a step in setting specific font weight values?

it very much depends on the font you are using.
Many fonts have only few weights.

As you can see, there is a difference between the two sentences. But you should be aware that most webfonts do not have more than two or three weights, and weight such as ‘light’ or ‘semi-bold’ is rare. The value ‘400’ equals normal and the value ‘700’ equals bold.
