Test mutliple clients in developer

Hey Guys,

im trying to test 2 (ti) clients at the same time from my developer.
I remeber that i read a post about this sometime in the last year here, but i cant find it. It had todo something with changing the url with “?client=x” but i cant find the thread.

Thanks!

?nodebug=true

should be your friend…

Hi Patrick,

yep thats what i´ve been looking for. Thanks!

Hi Vik,

Small tip that might help you and others.

I use this for a lot of solutions, als for example to launch like a portal solution to test that together with the main solution and vice versa.
In order to not having to do repetitive actions, I’ve added some ‘developer only’ code so when I shift-click on the company logo or home button it will dynamically build the URL with ‘nodebug=true’ added and open that url in a separate window directly from my main application.

Thanks Marc, thats a great idea.

Do you know if there is any way of modifiyng the eclipse-ide launch options to change the url aswell?
For example, can i somehow add a new entry here with the modded url?

As far as I know you can’t change the URL within Servoy, at least when I try it any input is ignored.
Might be a good feature request for Servoy

We have a (hidden, developer only) function in our solution that opens another client…

you can use something like this to launch more clients. If you are in transition to Ti, launching the old Ng client does help as well.

function runNoDebugClientTi() {
	application.showURL(application.getServerURL() + 'solution/' +application.getSolutionName()+ '/index.html?nodebug=true');
}

function runNoDebugClientNg() {
	application.showURL(application.getServerURL() + 'solutions/' +application.getSolutionName()+ '/index.html?nodebug=true');
}
