Unable to save Jasper Report in xls format

Hi Tom,
Yeah now we have a file :D
I don’t think its an issue with the jasper report, because well the report runs on developer!

Ok, I should clarify the plugin issue. I used the latest version available in the link you posted.
That means I used 2.1.5

So with that I get the blank report.

When I use 2.1.4, I get an error on the server. Unfortunately, it is not written to the server log. So i’m attaching a screen shot of it. Mind you this error happens only on the server. There is no error when running on the developer machine.

Additionally, we use Open Office to access excels not MS Excel. I don’t know whether this has a bearing.

Thanks for all the assistance

Hareendra

I have had some problems with plugin 2.1.5 so I went back to 2.1.4

Another thought did you ever open the report using iReport 3.5.0 and are you using the jrxml to run from Servoy app?

If so then try to go back to iReport 3.1.0 or whatever the previous iReport is to 3.5.0. Then go into the report properties and specify the language to use as java (even it it say java now - assuming you are using java as the language rather than groovy). I did have an anomaly that was only fixed when i went back iReport 3.1.0 and set the language again (I think this is because in iReport 3.5.0 there is now also support for javascript).

Worth a shot anyway since the screen shot does not say what is invalid!
Cheers,
Tom
