Underscores Are Difficult To Read When Creating Dataprovider

When creating new dataproviders the under_score_character doesn’t show up very clearly. All my naming conventions use the under_score.

It shows up fine when it’s viewing, it’s when typing that it’s completely gone, thus prone to errors.

Wonder if anything can be done?

Dr John

Do you use under_scores in your naming conventions?

i see the _ clearly when typing.
What LAF are you using?

Hi Johan,

Not sure what LAF means, but I’m using Windows xp home, current Servoy release, I wish you could see it on my screen.

The underscores are completely hidden, so they look like blanks, until they are they posted.

Thanks,

Dr John

Googled LAF, got Lance Armstrong Foundation

LAF means Look And Feel and can be set in the preferences of either Servoy developer or Servoy client.

Patrick,

Thanks for the tip, my LAF is Kunstoff.

So I’m retarting with default now. And yes, I can see the underscores. They are right on the bottom, but they are there.

I might check some of the others to see what they do

Thanks for that,

Dr John

Testing my configuration.

Metal
CDE/motif
Kunstoff

have the underscore problem

Skin
Linus
Windows just to seem to go back to default, which doesn’t have the problem.

FWIW, maybe if the text in the dataprovider could be set to top alignment, then maybe all the styles would show. Or make it bigger?
