# updating Servoy on server

I am having trouble updating Servoy on the server. I have shut down the server using the admin page, and started developer on the server through a linux terminal (the server is linux). Developer opens saying it is version 2.2.1 and offers an update to 2.2.2. I say yes, it says the download is completed, I restart developer… and the splash screen still says 2.2.1 and it continues to offer me an update to 2.2.2. I have been through this cycle numerous times. Interestingly, when I click ‘about’ in the menu, Servoy thinks it is running 2.2.2, even though the splash screen says 2.2.1.

I have updated the Server before using this method, but this time it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions as to what I can try next? I have a new solution realease ready but can’t load it until I can update the server version to 2.2.4.
