We are pleased to announce the availability of Servoy 8.2.2 release candidate (releasenumber 3106)

This version is available through the jar or exe
The update site is: http://download.servoy.com/developer/8x ... candidate/

This release should update fine over an existing 8.2 install but if you upgrade from a 8.1.x to the 8.2.2 rc release then the developer will upgrade, but the application server part (or the developer) needs a new servoy_update.zip.
You can download it from the previous release

issues fixed see our wiki: 8.2.2 RC release notes

previous 8.2.1 release: 8.2.1 release

The final of 8.2.2 is planned within 2 weeks after this release.

Also released 3 component packages:

Servoy Extra
Bootstrap Components
Bootstrap 12Grid

thanks johan,
is it correct that a newer version pf postgres is installed with this release.
I cannot start prostgres as it was 9.3 and now it is 9.6.3. Should their not be an automatic upgrade. Or how can I do this manually.
And how do it works on production servers.
Thanks for your reply
Andre

we upgraded PostgreSQL some time ago i think from 81 to 82 or even a bit before that.
It is not updated in 82x

But we don't (or shouldn't) upgrade PostgreSQL manually on a existing install (so updating the developer or updating the application server should not update PostgreSQL, you only get it on a fresh install)

So for a fresh install of the developer i guess you need to do an export/import of the old files (not sure maybe Robert can answer that better, i thought PostgreSQL would do the upgrade)

For an application server you should not use our embedded PostgreSQL, you should install PostgreSQL itself by its own installer, ours is only meant for development.

Hi Johan
It installs over the existing 8.2.1 installation. But it overwrites the postgress_db\bin folder with newer files.
Also when I start developer it does not know my workspace. I have to load the work space manually.
It looks like it does a fresh installation over an exisiting installation.

what kind of upgrade?
Upgrading a developer is only done through the developer (Help->Check for updates)

never install with an installer over an existing developer.
Then many things are overwritten (like PostgreSQL) and you are left with a lot of garbage files (many plugins of the developer itself) which are not overwritten because they have different file names.

Sorry, my bad.
I download the installer as mention in the message and installed that one. Now I did it from the developer and it seems to be working.
Thanks
Andre
