Beta Upgrade, new release

Postby ebrandt » Tue Feb 01, 2005 7:58 pm

I still can not get any updates past my current version

Servoy Developer
Version R2 2.1.2-build 315
Java version 1.4.2_04-b05 (Windows XP)

I have port 8080 and 1099 open on the filewall, and have the correct syntax in the properties file (no spaces , no duplicates).

Also, If I try to use the menu item (search for new version), nothing happens. If I select F1 / OK I get the following error:

Failed to download/Install the developer documentation.

Connection refused: connect

Is there something I can check to figure out what the probelm is?

Thanks,
Erich

It's probably just that Servoy is starting faster than the database. If you exit Servoy and then just re-launch it - does it connect OK?

I have no issues connecting to SQL or Sybase, these connections work fine. It seems to be a connection to the Servoy Webisite somehow.

Hmmm... we use port 80 to check the site for new updates... can you get out via the Internet?

Have you changed any security settings or virus settings that could stop it from downloading?

Does it require any special options be set for access through a proxy server? The proxy server here requires authentication to get out.
