OS X Java implementations

Postby jamezilla » Sat Sep 06, 2003 5:01 am

What's the story with Servoy and Apple's buggy Java 1.4 implementation?
Is it possible to run multiple versions of the Apple JRE and use an older more compliant version?
I'm concerned about this on both the server side and the client side, though we may end up deploying the server on Linux instead of OS X.

Apple is working hard on making their Java implementation better. The latest version (1.4.1 update 1) fixes quite some issues, particularly user interface issues. This latest version is the best version to use with Servoy, you can try older version by creating a startup script to the full directory of the java executable followed by: -jar servoy_developer.jar
