Seems to work fine with Servoy.
Not sure if it it's faster though.

I'm using os 10.4.2 with both Java 1.42 and 1.5. I haven't seen any problems with Java on the Mac. But I can't claim strong experience. So, Providence1, it would be great to hear some specifics about the problems you're aware of, for the rest of our sakes: Can you tell us what to watch out for?

Thanks!

I'm the last to run something like that. Not an early adopter.

Well, in response to your question as to whether the new Java update from Apple "makes JAVA work on the Mac" ... it is the Tiger OS (10.4) that really makes Java work on a Mac. In general, everything is snappier under OS 10.4, but Java is light years faster. If what you mean is "makes Java work faster on a Mac. If you meant you see actual malfunctions of Java on your Mac, please be more specific.

As for early adoption, I do understand the aversion. However, if you will be using Servoy Developer consistently on your Mac(s), you would do yourself a favor to investigate Tiger compatibility of other software titles you depend on and, if at all possible, upgrade to Tiger. Then your Servoy development will be a much more pleasant experience.

Hi Kazar

Are you able to provide any comparisons for Servoy Client on 10.4 versus 10.3 ?

Have a customer who complains that his iBook on 10.3 is so much slower than comparable XP laptops and wonder if worth him upgrading to 10.4.

Thanks
