Servoy 2.2.1 Release Candidate 3

Release notes for Servoy betas

Postby Harry Catharell » Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:06 pm

Servoy Developer
Version R2 2.2.1rc3-build 332
Java version 1.5.0_02-36 (Mac OS X)

This is a Mac Java thing and it is limited to Java 1.5 but works in earlier versions under rc3 !

If you revert to 1.4.2 via the Java Preferences app then the functionality will return - as if by MaJic !! :)

Cheers

Hi Harry

Postby Thunder » Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:22 pm

Sadly this is not the case. My ctrl clicking does not work in java 1.5 OR 1.4.2. I immediately assumed that it must be that because I had just switched over to 1.5 but switching back did not fix it...

It is quite boring not being able to use the feature...

Speed

Postby Thunder » Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:30 pm

Since upgrading to 2.2.1 rc3, Servoy has also become glacially slow to start up, whether in java 1.5 or 1.4.2...

I take it back..

Postby Thunder » Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:33 pm

It seems that you were right Harry.. It seems that it is Java 1.5 causing the problem. Weirdly after going back to 1.4.2, I had to double double quadruple double click it to get it to open in the method editor the first time, and then it was okay. Anyway, panic over thanks for your help

Servoy Developer
Version R2 2.2.1rc3-build 332
Java version 1.4.2-54 (Mac OS X 10.4.2)

I have reverted to the above settings in which Ctrl-doubleclick works to open an onaction method in the editor

My Java Prefrences app shows:
Use Version: J2SE 1.4.2

The app runtime settings show J2SE 1.4.2 on top of J2SE 5.0 which is the order of preference to be used !

Do all these settings mirror your own ?

Don't understand why mine works but yours doesn't !

Cheers

JavaScript call in HTML

Postby Christoph » Mon Sep 26, 2005 5:12 pm

Hi,

if there is a link in HTML code, which calls a method, it now seems to be important, that the word 'javascript' in the the link is lower case.

For example:
Code: Select all
'<a href="javascript:zeigeWoche('1')">';

In previous releases of Servoy, it also was possible to write '...JavaScript:...'
Is this expected behaviour?

Greetings

Christoph

It seems to have always been lowercase...it will allow any casing in the final build
