Hi, Playing with Servoy 3.0 developer version, I couldn't hep to notice that the backend database was still PPC.

When will it be universal binary ?

When iAnywhere 10 for Mac is available. Probably by the end of the year.

With Servoy, you can choose any backend you want...

Sybase, if I'm correct, will support UB in 2007.

In any case, I don't find it particularly slow, but if you do, you can use PostgreSQL, which is already native, I think.

FWIW, MySQL is also a universal binary.

We expect to have support for Mac Intel platforms with SQL Anywhere 10 by the end of 2006.

There are no plans at this time to have SQL Anywhere 10 support the PowerPC platform. However, SQL Anywhere 9 will still be available for those who need to deploy to older Mac machines.

Yes, but this could lead to problems in development, I'm afraid...

What happens if I develop on my MacBook Pro with iAnywhere 10 and the solution must be deployed to a PowerPC machine (with iAnywhere 9.2)?
Will the migration work flawlessly?

Servoy is cross database and cross version, if you don't use functionality that only exists in iAnywhere 10 you'll be fine.
