With the arrival of 64-bit for the Apple G5, and variuous unix flavours (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX) already being capable of handling native 64-bit, i
am wondering if Servoy server (and/or client) will be ported sometime to
use 64-bit?
Since Oracle's oci can be called either with the 32-bit or 64-bit
libraries, what's Servoy using at the moment?

Louis.

AFAIK this is handled by the JAVA VM.
So the VM has to support it.

But then again...I am no JAVA jockey...I could be wrong.

It only depends on your JVM (Java Virtual Machine). If the JVM is 64 bit, so will Servoy be 64 bit. I don't know if Apple's JVM is 64 bit. On Sun Solaris you can get a 64 bit JVM, our demo server runs on 64-bit JVM.
