autoupdate via http proxy?

Postby Neale » Tue Mar 09, 2004 6:34 am

Does autoupdate use (only) http?

If so, how can I (on Linux) get it to go via a http proxy?

Ideally it would be as simple as the standard "set the http_proxy environment variable" ;-)

Thanks,
Neale.

Couldn't test it but i think this should work:

start the developer with 2 system properties (-D arguments)

java -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxyhostname -Dhttp.proxyPort=proxyhostport -jar servoy_developer.jar

then fill in the proxyhostname/hostport to what you want.

A quick test and review of my squid log suggests that works just fine :-)

Many thanks,
Neale.
