RMI port

Postby pogie.nocedo » Tue Mar 20, 2012 7:21 am

hi!

I have an installed version of servoy and my application server is running on HTTP 8080 and RMI 1099.
I tried to install a new instance of servoy, I did no change Smart Client RMI Port. When I clicked on the RMI availability, it says that it is still availalble. Does servoy BIND the port onlaunch of the Application Server? Or should I just disregard the RMI setting?

see your servoy-admin home page
there we print:

Port used by RMI Registry: 1100

and it is very likely that the second install does print 1100 there instead of 1099. Because we just try to find a right port

But the problem is more in the 8080 also because that will conflict with each other, so if you have 2 server installs running on the same machine, you better fix the various ports.
