Servoy Server Installation

Postby rochard » Mon May 10, 2004 5:26 pm

Am trying to set up Servoy Server on a remote machine. Logged into machine via TB2. downloaded Servoy and current Java version; followed instructions from manual and then opened a connection on a different machine in the browser entering the IP address followed by /servoy-admin. Connected instantly with Developer still running. The TB2 connection was then shut down and the machine put back behind the firewall; Developer closed and Servoy Server started. Now cannot connect. In manual it states that the specified RMI port and http port on firewall must be forwarded to the machine and while we have been able to forward the http port, we have not been able to find out how to do the RMI port. Any help gratefully received.

Secondary question. Can a new connection be set up through the admin page or does that have to be done in Developer?

TIA

Forwarding of your RMI port works the same as forwarding of an http port.

New connections can only be setup in Servoy Developer.
