problem with installation

Postby vitaliyna » Mon Aug 04, 2014 12:34 pm

Hello, Guys. We are trying to evaluate Servoy and Wakanda. I'm suprised that Servoy install still unsuccessful after 3 days invested tried:
- Ubuntu 14.04, 10.10, 13.04, 13.10 and Servoy 6, 7

Is it our hands or something is broken?
In 14.14 next Error: (Servoy Developer:2953): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_dbus_connection_get_unique_name: assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_CONNECTION (connection)' failed

PS Wakanda install took us maximum 1h.

Wakanda Designer doesn't install on Linux at all—just Mac and PC. We run both servers on Linux of various flavors. A few tricks with both to get them working.

Have you tried the answer given to you on your other post? viewtopic.php?f=11&t=20496.

And for real, the Wakanda IDE does not work on any version of Linux.

I now about Wakanda. I installed it on Mac. But I have a question about Servoy. I gave the example Wakanda for what we did not think that I'm a lamer. But I don't know why Servoy doesn't work good for me on Centos or Ubuntu.

we have various developers using linux for developing (and then running) servoy on linux
Problem is that linux is so different in all its flavors that it is sometimes hard to pin point what it is

What java install are you using? What version?
