When building an installer what factors should be taken into consideration with regard to the use and setup of Sybase Personal Server (dbeng9.exe) vs Sybase Network Server (dbsrv9.exe)?
It is my understanding that they are both nearly the same with regard to most Servoy solutions because clients normally come in through Servoy Server which then makes a local connection to the Sybase databases (as opposed to situations where remote users connect directly to a Sybase database, which would require Sybase Network Server). Am I correct so far?
It is also my understanding that Sybase Personal Server does not allow direct url connections. Does this mean that when Sybase Personal Server is used clients will not be able to access the Servoy Administration page through a url, or should that still work because it is being accessed through Servoy?
It appears that all that is required to switch between using Sybase Personal Server and Sybase Network Server is changing dbeng9.exe to dbsrv9.exe in the servoy.properties file. Is that correct, or are there other adjustments that need to be made when switching between the two?
