Entering client licenses

Postby Westy » Sat Jul 17, 2004 9:36 pm

When using Servoy Application Server as a Windows service does client license information have to be entered from the Servoy Administration web page, or can it alternatively be entered from within Servoy Developer from the Edit/Application Preferences/License tab?

NO. client licenses has to be entered in the Admin Pages

in Developer you can ONLY fill in the developer-license!

Additionally you must run server (and not developer as a server) to enter client licenses in the admin pages.

Is this always true?

I originally asked this question because I thought I had entered a Client license from within Developer once and later had the license work when accessing from Servoy Application Server. I got an error message when I first entered the license information within Developer, but it seemed like it eventually worked anyway, when I closed out of developer and reopened in Servoy Application Server.

Since then I tried it again and had the same thing happen. At least I think that is what happened. I would be interested if others have experienced the same thing.

At any rate, I will enter Client licenses from Servoy-Admin from now on.
