I am now absolutly sure, that it has nothing to do with java, but everything with Servoy!

I did the following test:

On my laptop I did a complete de-install of 1.2RC5 and I installed 1.1(final)
from my other machine I opened the client, and the client is showing up in the java-webstart!! Nice! After that I deleted the program in the java-webstart.
I did a complete de-install of 1.1(final) and re-installed a fresh install of 1.2RC5
from my other machine I opened the client, and the client is NOT :x showing up in the java-webstart.

Have you deleted, the client in the Java-webstart?
And is it coming back, whan you launch a new one?

Yep - using 1.4.2 and did delete the client via the Java-webstart control panel - and it came back just fine.

SORRY! :(

I hope someone of the dev team would take a look at this.
It's drive me nuts!

I have tried the same on my home-pc. If I load client with servoy 1.1 final everything is working fine. If I load a client with servoy 1.2rc5 the client does not show up in javawebstart (so it wont make a shortcut on the desktop! AARRGGG!!!)

I tried the application that are in Javawebstart: like Notepad or some militarygame. They just work fine ,and they show up as a downloadable program!. Servoy 1.2RC5 is'nt!

Do you use: 1.2RC5 ??
which OS-server? which OS clients?

Interestingly enough on my machine it does show up in the control panel but does not ask to create a shortcut at second launch.

You can also create a shortcut to your solution by placing a shortcut on your desktop to:

http://demo.servoy.com:8080/servoy-clie ... lution=crm

you can even customize the icon!

Try to delete the program and the shortcuts in the java webstart, and (for me) it is not coming back again!
(now on 6 machines!)

That's exactly what I did. It works fine, I'll try on a few more machines.

Thats what I do every time...

Because of the Security reasons the port number for Servoy changes a little frequently in my company... so I just open the Java WebStart and delete the application on the client machine and then I access the Servoy from Client through browser... and it places the icons and application... without any hesitation.... probably I did this more than 20 times on our 5 client machines...

HJK try this on a clean machine....nothing but OS and Java 1.4.2
Thanks & Regards
