Java 1.4 required on Mac OS X?

Postby Bob Shockey » Wed Nov 05, 2003 9:41 pm

I have just done a clean install of Servoy developer on Mac OS 10.2.6. When I try to start it up, it tells me that it can't run because I only have Java 1.3.1, and 1.4 or higher is required. However, Apple seems to have pulled Java 1.4.1 update from its web site, so I'm kinda stuck here. Any suggestions? :?

I've heard more reports on this, it appears for some reason apple pulled all java 1.4.1 versions after they found out that 1.4.1 UPDATE 1 (not the same as 1.4.1) didnt work very well. I've tried to contact Apple for a solution but havn't received an answer so far. Anybody else with good contacts at Apple?

What problems are you experiencing? On OS X 10.3.1 Servoy should install perfectly.
