Validation causing Race Conditions?

I'm confused about how to implement the onValidate function. Does only one onValidate function need to be required for a database table, or do they need to be in multiple modules?

I thought they had to be in multiple modules, but I encountered an odd race condition. Basically I was modifying the onValidate function in one module, and it wasn't working. That's when I realized that another onValidate function was interfering with the result of the validation.

ONVALIDATE - ( database > Methods )

So, is it okay to just make one onValidate function in one module and that onValidate will be seen for whole project? Does that work?
