I'd like to know if anyone has specific adice on the fundamentals of sharing servoy development with another person.
I'm trying to set up a study buddy situation with a friend of mine who knows javascript but has never heard of Servoy.
Here's what I've done so far.
I built a solution, (I don't know if I'm supposed to make my own server
or use the CRM one, or whatever, but I just used one that was there. I
would like to have my own, but not sure how that works. )
and then I built the forms and the attributes, etc. and then I tried
for an hour or so to get my filemaker text tab export into the servoy
solution, and then I couldn't.
So I exported the solution from the Repository, and I sent this guy the
file, the data, to import, and then he's supposed to be smart with
JavaScript and be able to figure out how to
1. import the file from the registry
2. how to get the data in.
3. Add some neat features and code to the template and then send it
back to me.
Do you think it will work? I don't. He's going to give up way before me.
There must be some best practices. I couldn't even get the data in.
Thus why I need a study buddy,
Thanks to members for any insights or experiences, gotchas.
