Apparently it doesn't really matter what version of Ubuntu your running.

Up until now there seems to be to problems with running Servoy on Ubuntu:

1 - You need to install Sun's JVM.
2 - There are some problems with painting elements. Unsolved!

1 - This is easy though it may scare the newbie:

* Just follow the instructions on this link:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=76702
You need to have the root password!

* Afterwards just download and install Servoy from the command line!

2 - As for the painting issues I'm about to file a bug!

But this shouldn't stop you because everything else seems to working properly ;-)

best,
Miguel

I've attached a screenshot just look at the Add, Edit and Delete Buttons!
NOTE: Please ignore the big grey square that's not a problem!

I've filled an issue. Apparently this just happens with tabpanels. But I haven't spent enough time with Servoy on Ubuntu (but I expect to very soon) to make sure that's the only issue.

Also, this happens in the developer and the rich cliente (aka smart client), naturaly it doesn't happen on the webclient.

best,
Miguel
