Locking solutions for updates

I'm pretty sure it has been already asked but I didn't found any topic about it doing a search.
So, I'm dreaming about a little feature which could allow the admins to lock one or more solutions in order to avoid people to log in and update the solutions.
An improvement would be schedule the lock. E.g. you plan an update early tomorrow morning, so you schedule a lock at 7AM in order to be able to make your update straight without having to ask users to log out.
Let me know if it has already been requested. If not I'll create a case
