Show always UUID in the properties window

Postby martinh » Wed May 12, 2010 9:36 am

Could you please always show the UUID in the properties windows (of course not editable)

The reason is the following:

When I want to search where a valuelist is used, and I do a search on the valuelist, then I only get the valuelist as result.
If I can see the UUID, then I can also search on the UUID and so I can find out where a valuelist is used.

This is just for valulists, but I can imagine that I need to search on all kind of Servoy elements.

Now I change the valuelist (set allow empty on)
When doing synchronize I see the difference between the old and new properties.
There is shows also the uuid
Now I can do a search on the uuid
it returns me on which formelements this valuelist is used
And I set the property back to the original value

Or is there another way to find where a valuelist is used?

if you want to get the uuid just open the valuelist.val file in a texteditor and you have the uuid

Just open the Navigator view of eclipse and browser through the file structure.
