Servoy vs. Oracle HTML DB

How do the expressive power, security, and ease of development of
applications written in Servoy compare to those written using
Oracle's HTML DB http://htmldb.oracle.com product?

I guess the big difference with Oracle's HTML DB is that Servoy is a userfriendly Java application, with all the great endless Java functionalities that comes with it.

I like the way you can create pages in Oracle's HTML DB from templates like Chart, Calendar, Tree, Report etc, but I couldn't find where you can edit the CSS from the templates :( .

Servoy uses JavaScript for scripting and you don't have to know JavaScript to build a nice solution in no time, so ease of development is covered with that for sure.

As far as I can see in the Oracle's HTML DB demo, that it's a possible way of building solutions, but the freedom to design a nice interface is pretty limited and by that you're stuck with a static webinterface.

In Servoy 3 you can use a webclient too, you've got the power from webenabled AND webbased applications in one solution!

Concerning security issue: With Servoy you can use a SSH connection and you can encrypt your database(s). Servoy offers you also the freedom to connect to any SQL related DB! As far as my opinion is this one of the most powerfull properties of Servoy.

Servoy offers professional and fast support for any level developer, like this forum and also from it's own Servoy developers. I doubt if you enjoy this support with Oracle's HTML DB.

I guess there's a lot more to say for Servoy or Oracle's HTML DB, but I hope this will encourage Oracle's HTML DB users to checkout Servoy.
