Looking for Pivot tool

Postby jdbruijn » Tue May 27, 2014 9:26 am

We want to offer our customers more freedom in their reporting. For this we want a pivot reporting tool, preferable in Servoy, but another (stand-alone) solution is also an option.
The user must be able to select which fields the report has to be based (preferably drag/drop from the list of available fields), using multiple levels. He must be able to define his own filters and data grouping. And we would also like to be able to drill-down into the report for more in-depth information.
Is it possible to do this using the available reporting tools in Servoy (Jasper or Velocity) ? Or does anyone know a good (and affordable) stand-alone tool that we can use?

I'm not sure if pivot tables are possible with Velocity, but I do know that Jasper server is required for pivot tables with Jasper. In the past I have implemented pivot tables with JPivot and Mondrian as its OLAP engine, but this wasn't in combination with Servoy.
